Could you be a manic depressive!? my aunty is like this sometimes and has to go into hospital until her meds get her stable again but they call it bipolar, perhaps ask you Dr about it, whatever it is it need sorting out ASAP for your own sake!.

good luck hun =) xWww@Answer-Health@Com

This is a common side effect with Remeron (Mirtazapine)!. I had the same problem when I was on it a few years ago!. I couldn't sit still!. I couldn't focus on anything I was doing; I had problems with my memory etc!.

Any antidepressant alters your brain chemistry!. It takes a while for your brain to adjust to increased levels of serotonin!. If you have been on the drug for a short time this is probably what is happening!. But tell your doctor what's going on!. I hope you feel better soon:)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to speak to your psychiatrist that gives you the meds!. If your antidepressant is making you feel hyper, you may not be depressed, but have bipolar disorder!. Or the dosage is incorrect!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

mirtazapiene only has the sedative effect for like 2 weeks max then you just feel normal again ,
if you need a stronger sedative ask for lorazapam and hariperidol they good and strong
i also agree with every one you should try gettin checked out for bipolarWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think that you may be suffering from Bi-Polar Syndrome (Old Name = Manic Depression) ! Spike Milligan (Dec'd), Stephen Fry & Robbie Williams were/are affected by this !Www@Answer-Health@Com

get pills changed over, try walking more to clear your head this might help you sleep better and find a hobby to concentrate your energy on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The meds are apparently not doing you any good!.

In the mean while, clean out with milk of magnesia and bumping up your water intake!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have they mentioned anything about bi polar!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

non ho cpito niente!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sure if you've been in hospital they'd have done lots of blood work but, it might be worth checking that they did a thyroid function test!. If you have an overactive thyroid it may explain why the sedation isn't working!. It may also explain the hyperactivity, which for some reason is always worse at night!. I had an undiagnosed thyroid problem for 3 years and I thought I was losing my mind, I'd be out cleaning my windows at 4am just to keep me busy, I'd sleep while everyone was up and then be full of life in the wee hours!. It may not be anything to do with your thyroid but, it won't do any harm to check!.

Hope you feel better soon

P!.S Have just been on the BNF and looked up your meds, if it is bi-polar, Mitarzapine is contraindicated so you may need to switch to something else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
