Hello Paul Y!. I can answer your question only through my experience!. The greatest agony is drowning!. I nearly drowned one time when I accidently floated out over my head and someone tipped the inflatable raft I was on!. I can't swim!. I fell off the raft and tried to dog paddle to get to it and it just kept floating further and further out deeper!. I tried to turn around and started to sink!. I tried to dog paddle to shore, but, I just kept going under!. The first time I came up for air, I only ended up swallowing water and going under again!. The second time, the same!. The third time, the same!. Then I couldn't come up anymore and I couldn't hold my breath anymore!. I felt like my lungs were going to explode! My whole body started to hurt!. Instinctively, I tried to gasp to relieve the pressure on my lungs and took in more water!. Then, my arms and legs just wouldn't move anymore!. The pain searing through my entire body was excruciating!. The fear I felt was horrible!. So, I decided I was a goner anyway, so I tried to take in as much water as I could so I could die faster because I couldn' t take the pain anymore!. I lost conscienceness and some one must have saved me because I woke up in the hospital!. It took 3 weeks for my lungs and body to stop hurting!. To me, this was the greatest agony!.
The greatest ecstasy was in Church one day!. I went to Sunday Service as usual, but, this paticular Sunday I was feeling really down!. I cried in church because I felt like no cared about me at all!. I thought I should quit the "pity party" and do what I came for!. So, I started praying like crazy!. I blocked out everyone's voices and concentrated on God!. I asked God to show me if He really cared!. As I was praying, it seemed like the whole church got really quiet and I heard someone call my name!. I opened my eyes, looking to the ceiling, and the sight I saw was truly magnificent! I saw a bright light and Jesus was standing in the most beautiful clothes, just looking down at me with a smile!. He truly was a handsome man! It only lasted for a few moments, but, I never felt so happy in my entire life!. To me, that is the greatest ecstasy!
