Wasp Phobia?!

Question: Wasp Phobia!?
I have a really bad phobia of wasps!. Even hearing ot typing the word gives me goosebumps!. I feel physically sick when i hear one or see one!. My heart races so fast i get dizzy!. I dont want it to rub off on my children but i can't stop myself from screaming and behaving like a windmill on speed when one comes near!. I'm ashamed to say i even ran away from the pram when one went near my daughter was eating a lolly in it!. It affects my whole life and i dont know how to stop it!. I know it stems from watching my brother get swarmed when i was about 4 years old!. As i have never been stung i have convinced myself that i will have an anaphalactic recation if one of those nasty little creatures gets its stinger in me!.!. What can i do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

OMG!! I am the EXACT same!. I've never been stung, but my gosh you get me near one and my heart stops and I can't breath!. Even the nice bumble bee's minding their business on their flowers!. I think that I am alergic because my mother is and my twin has been stung and got a bit swollen!. But I'm convinced I'll get really sick too!. My husband tells me it's an irrational fear that won't just go away unless you try and deal with it!. Which helps me a bit!. I'm working my way up to being SEMI normal!. Wasps still scare the BEEJESUS out of me though!. But at least bumble bee's I will just say to myself "he doesn't want to sting me, he just want's his flower"!.

Just keep thinking that they do not go out to get you personally!.Only when they feel threatened!. If you keep your cool then there is nothing to worry about!. If you flap around and hit one, then yeah, run! haha!. But just remember, they don't want to go around just stinging random people!. Just stand still or do your normal business and it will fly away!.

Did you believe any of that!? I'm still trying to!.!. haha GOOD LUCK!Www@Answer-Health@Com

its psychological,,, so if you'll think that you're having fear with wasp the more you'll become one!. start it with yourself by clearing your mind bout it!. you also use the desensitization process!. first try to see pictures of it, then gradually expose yourself (but don't let it stung you!.!.!.^_^)!.!.!. face your fears!.!.!.

the remedy is within yourselfWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have been stung four times by wasps, all on seperate occasions and although it's sore, it could be worse!. I think your chances of having an anaphalactic reaction are unlikely!.

If you leave the wasps alone, 95% of the time they will leave you alone!. If you don't want to attract them, don't eat your food or leave food outside because that will attract them!.

One thing I have learned is that if you kill a wasp near another wasp, the alive one is very likely to sting you!.

I think you could try seeking professional advice to try and deal with the problem!. I think it's good that you are able to identify where the phobia came from though!.

Good Luck xWww@Answer-Health@Com
