Adderall and side effects?!
Question: Adderall and side effects!?
My psychologist may put me on Adderall!. I'm worried about the side effects!. I understand that I may lose weight or have a loss of appetite!. If so, how long will this last!? I am already on a healthy diet and on a successful exercise program!. I'm worried that going on this medication may tempt me to deviate from my healthy plan and make me starve myself as opposed to eating healthy and exercising regularly!. Honestly!? You will probably have some degree of appetite loss!. However, this is no reason to stop eating healthy!. The real problem occurs if you skip a day of taking this medication!. (You'll probably have a hard time controlling you appetite once you get used to having no appetite)!. However, it seems you have very good self-control and as long as you keep this up, you shouldn't have a problem!.
When I was prescribed Adderall, my doctor gave me some tips on eating!. Make sure you have a big (healthy) breakfast!. You'll probably only want to eat a small amount for lunch so have a healthy afternoon snack!. Then, prepare a nutritious dinner!. I've learned for me, meal replacement bars or shakes help keep my calories balanced throughout the day!.
The medication can only control you as much as you let it!. I'll be honest, it is sometimes hard to eat, but it isn't impossible!. Medicines affect everyone differently, so you may not even come across that side effect!. As far as how it effects me, it just makes me feel not hungry!. It's not like I'm full either tho, just that food isn't on my mind!. If I just eat when I normally eat, then there's no problem!. I didn't experience any other side effects except for dry mouth!. It is very annoying but I've learned to ignore it!. I've been on Adderall for a year now (currently 20mg twice a day) and none of these symptoms have gone away!. I found them tolerable, and had to learn to live with them as Ritilan caused me to not be able to sleep!. Hopefully you don't find you have any problems!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
