Typical dose for Lexapro?!
Question: Typical dose for Lexapro!?
My doctor started giving me 10mg of Lexapro for one week and then upping it to 20mg after that!. Is this a lot for treating depression!. What's a typical dosage for most people suffering from depression!? 40mg!? More!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

They always start you out on 10mg!. That is the equivalent to 20 mg Celexa (which has the same active ingredient as Lexapro but more sexual side effects)!. They make Lexapro in up to 20mg pills so after 20 mg of Lexapro you would have to start doubling pills!.

I take 150mg Wellbutrin SR in the morning, and 10mg Lexapro in the evening!. That's worked very well for me!.!.!. and I've been taking it for over a year and a half!.
When I first started out, they had me taking 10mg Lexapro, and bumped it to 20mg - but that made me very drowsy, and all I wanted to do is sleep!. Switching it to the Wellbutrin/Lexapro combination made a big difference!.
Of course, no two people react the same to medication, so what works for one person may or may not work for another!.!.!.

well it really depends on how depressed you are, I have anxiety and a little depression so my doc!. put me on 10 mg but i am 15 it depends how old you are and how depressed or anxious you are!. So i am assuming that he gave you the right dosage, if you have like bad side effects or it isn't working tell Him/ her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the psychiatrist i work for starts people out on 10mg and increases to 20mg thereafter!. rarely do i see it higher than that!. celexa is usually dosed at about 40mg!. but you should just ask him what the typical dosage is!. don't take the info online here too seriously!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
