Indeed there are! As a previous cut-n-burner as me and my friends like to call it, I picked up a few tricks for getting rid of scars!.
One is use Aloe Vera gel until the scars become faint and then start using Aloe Propolis cream which will moisturise the skin as well as smelling very very nice!.
A second one is called "Bio-Oil" it's a tad expensive but you can get cheaper, equally effective versions from various shops!. I used that on my more severe scars and after a couple of months even my deepest scar was almost completely gone!. It's now just a little white line up the bottom of my leg!. I'm talking tiny here!.

You can use the same treatments as any used for scar removal!. Or burn scarring!. If you're embarrassed because it's from self-mutilation, don't be!. Go get them treated like any other burn scarring!.
Silicone compression bandages, even on old scars, is one of the most effective treatments - especially for keloid scarring!. Then there's a variety of gels and oils for scarring, often available over-the-counter!.
Consider talking to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon about scar removal though, because you have a range of options, including dermabrasion, or laser therapy etc for this!.

I used neosporin scar solution patches they lightened the scars a little but for how expensive they were the best solution was time!. the scars were bright pink or purple and now they blend in with my skin color (after 1 years time)!. i am not really sure about burns though, as mine are cuts, but you can invest in laser treatments if you are really self-conscious about them!. But time will make them WAY less noticeable!. i know it sucks but it is what we self injurers have to deal with even after we stop!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
