How do I know I DON'T have PTSD?!

Question: How do I know I DON'T have PTSD!?
In a way it's the reverse question of, "How do I know that I have PTSD" - in a way my question is, "How do I know I don't have PTSD"!.!.!.!.

For those of you that have been fighting for much longer than I have, I'd love to hear your advice!.!.!. here are just a few of the things that brought this question to the surface!.!.!.!.

I've finally gotten to the point where I'm not scared of HIM anymore!.!.!.!. I hardly think about him, and it "just doesn't matter" to me anymore!.!.!.

So!.!.!.
IF I do have PTSD because of the assault, and I've come far enough in my "healing" to close the wound (which is the spot I've been for a few months now)

THEN
shouldn't my anxiety lower
shouldn't my cutting urges evaporate
shouldn't my unstable moods begin to stabalize
shouldn't my anger begin to lower
shouldn't my numbness slowly start to melt
shouldn't my disassociative moments diminish!?

It makes me wonder if I even have PTSD or if it's something else completely!!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If you are experiencing consistent mood swings, uncontrolled urges to self harm, as well as issues with dissociation, you would be wise to consider the possibility that borderline personality disorder could be a factor for you!. You have described the hallmark symptoms above!. It is possible that your initial PTSD diagnosis was based on your report of flashback type experiences, but did not take the whole picture into account!.
