How do I play piano without sounding like I'm copying my sister? Please, ple!

Question: How do I play piano without sounding like I'm copying my sister!? Please, please help!.!?
My sister just started playing the piano, and I really want to too!. My mom actually said I should start, and I said that my sister wouldn't like it, she always gets upset when I want to do something that she is!. Also, I don't want to look like I'm always following in my sister's tracks!. I want it to seem like my mom has talked me into it, so how do I bring it up subtly so it doesn't look like I'm trying to copy my sister!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No need to be subtle!. Sister needs to grow up and be a big girl!. She doesn't have a monopoly on piano playing or interest in music!.

If you want to play the piano - GO FOR IT!. And with NO apologies to your sister!. That's right - NONE!.

Try saying it this way:

"You know what, Mom!? I have been thinking about what you've said, and I agree with you!. Piano is something I'd like to pursue!. Although sister may not like it, I am not willing to let that stop me!. Thanks for encouraging me to try it!. Can you set up some lessons for me, please!?"

Best of luck,

Don't worrying about copying your sister, maybe you are or maybe you aren't, and if you are, then so what!? It means you find what she is doing interesting, and it be looked on as flattery!. Explain to your sister how uneasy you are about trying the same things she is, because you are afraid she will get angry, and that you are just trying to find out who you are and what you like!. You have to experiment to figure that out sometimes!. Don't limit yourself because of your sister!. If it helps, e-mail her if that takes the pressure off confronting her face to face!. Maybe if you explain to her what you are feeling, it will bring you closer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry about your sister, you go for what you wanna do!. My sister and I do a lot of things that are the same, cause I look up to her on it!. And several of my friends do some things that are similar to their siblings!. So just talk to her about it, stating, how you really feel and how you want to play piano also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
