Question: Have you gained weight with Antidepressants or mood stabilisers!?
If so, what is the name of your medication!. I am currently taking Depakote and Citalopram and have gained weight rapidly!.

I put on weight when i was on these, but it may have been partly due to the lethargy they induce, so i wasn't moving around as much!.

you've gained weight b/c they are salt based and be careful w/ the depakote especially if you plan on having kids!. most doctors just want you to take drugs but i've been consulting and herbalist and i haven't been on meds in a/b 2yrs and i've been fine!. it's something to discuss w/ your doctor but tell him to find something that isn't salt based b/c you're gaining too much weight rapidly!. hopefully they'll find something better for you!. just watch your salt intake as well,don't want an overload that can lead to hypertention!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Definitely!. Zyprexa and Seroquel can make you can weight!. I'm not sure about the ones you mentioned, but, a lot of mood pills cause weight gain!. Whenever you get a new prescription, ask your doctor if the pills have weight gain as a side effect -- doctors generally don't bother to point this out to you until you've gained like 40 pounds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it does that to you!. you need to keep on top of it though!. Visit the gym 2-3 times a week!. I never used to have a problem with weight!. I was always a size 8 until i was put on tablets but i weren't happy being so skinny anyway so it doesnt matter!. I didnt like all the bones sticking out!. it did me a favour to be honest lol!. I'm alot happier the way its turned out although i still need to work on my belly a lil and keep n top of gym routine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
DONT take antidepressants, i know its easy for me to say so, but honestly, they are no good!.
theres a lot of other side effects, besides weight gain, that kick in the longer you take them, like rashes and vomiting!

Wellbutrin has been linked to weight loss!.!.!.!.which is refreshing for a change!. I am taking it now and I can honestly say it has affected my appetite!. I never really get hungry!.

Nope!. I was on depakote for a long time and never put on any weight!.
I did put on weight on olanzapine, but that's an anti-psychotic not a mood stabiliser!.

i take citalopram and depakote as well and ive put on two stone
