When you pray, you communicate with your subconscious mind!. Your subconscious reports to your unconscious mind!. This is the dynamic behind "No one gets to the father except through me!." Because your unconscious mind is shared with the universe, the universe knows your deepest thoughts!. Where did you get the idea that all is yours just for the asking!? Anyway, by indirectly accessing your out-of-reach mind, you set in motion a chain of events that bring your thoughts into being!. At that point, you would probably say thank you to god!.
