Question: I've been very emotional lately, how do I stop this!?
How do I stop being a cry baby!? I am 26! I don't want to lose my boyfriend because of this!. Last nite I was with him and I started crying (stuff that goes trough my head) I really don't want to lose him!. What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

This could be for a number of reasons!.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the comment ("stuff that goes through my head")

Is it distressing thoughts!?

Also may I please add (i apologize if you take offense to this, but if your boyfriend really loved you he wouldn't be bothered by you being a "cry baby")

Anyways try doing nice things for yourself!.
Take a break from school/work and go buy a new outfit or take a nice relaxing bath & read books!.
Its really about finding out what works best for you!.

If this is not your regular nature, then perhaps you are being afflicted with depression!. I was in your shoes several years ago!. Contrary to popular misconception about Prozac, the medication saved my life!

You could go to a therapist and talk to her about your problem, but a Psychiatrist can help you with medication!. When we get depressed, it is caused by an imbalance of chemicals in your brain!. Antidepressants replace the missing chemicals and allow you to function at a normal level!.

Crying and being moody is a good indication that you may be going through a bout of depression!. Please go seek professional help!. I know that when I finally did, it was like someone reached into my head and turned the worry off!.

~You say it's not hormones!. Are you sure you aren't pregnant or it has something to do with your cycle!?
If not, I think you should see a counselor!.~
