Answers:
Would a combination of the sedative drugs you've tried be effective!? I'm guessing you've been down that road!.!.!.
Well, I'd suggest a major tranquilizer (atypical anti-psychotic) called Seroquel!. I would only use Seroquel as a last resort, because the side effects may be more unpleasant than the medications you've already tried!.

Some good things to try before turning to medication are:
1) Go to bed at the same time every night
2) Dont work, eat, watch tv or talk on the phone in bed!. (Not even during the day) -Train your body that bed is for sleep!.
3) No caffeine at least 6 hours before bedtime
4) Read a good relaxing novel in bed every night til you feel sleepy
5) Once you feel sleepy, allow yourself to sleep - if you dont, you'll get your 2nd wind and wont be able to feel sleepy again for hours
6) Dont do rigorous activities right before bed!. Exercise in the morning or afternoon!.
**
The reason I say this, is that although a drug may help, you risk becoming depedent on the drug in order to sleep at all!. Many drugs affect REM and non-REM sleep (giving you a sort of "fake" sleep) and can affect memory!.!.!.etc!. Try the natural way first!Www@Answer-Health@Com

SLEEPwaking: If you awaken regularly during the night, it may be caused by having nightmares, the memories of which are sometimes repressed by the conscious mind, as with the high proportion of people who don't remember their dreams!. If you feel agitated on awakening, such may well be the cause!.
Products used to aid sleep may eventually interfere with natural sleep: this even happens with melatonin: if it is taken, the brain may stop producing it in the amount needed!. All such products should not come to be relied upon, and only used short term!.
There is specialist treatment available through www!.sleepwakesfl!.com/ or at your nearest sleeping disorders clinic (view section 3, at http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris for a locator, or get a referral from your doctor)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I work on a psychiatric unit so I have some knowledge!. You should avoid taking anything that would cause you to become dependent upon that to be able to sleep!. However, if you absolutely can't sleep then you should consult a physician and let them make the appropriate decision as to what you should do or take!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Different people have different ideas about what working out is!. Maybe you're not actually exerting yourself!?
Try really cold milk, socks, a dark room, a sound machine, a fan, relaxation breathing/visualization and turn your clock around so you can't see it!.
If it doesn't work, go to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you exercise during the day!? I mean REALLY full blown cardio for at least an hour!? If you're not, you should start!. Oh yes, no caffeine, which means, no soda, coffee or tea!. If that doesn't work, get a prescribed medication from your doctor!. If you have something on your mind, you might have to address that as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Weed used to work real well for me but I never had any dreams!. Trazadone and Ambien work!. Go to the doctor and ask!. Flexeril is a muscle relaxant and Benadryl is really not that good for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
