You need to "shop around" for the right psychiatrist!., the one who can really help you!. It might not be the first one or the second one you go to!. It takes patience and perserverance!. You will find the right one!.

If you are on medication now, maybe it's the wrong one(s), and you are experiencing side effects like poor concentration and lack of motivation!.

And your's is not a bizzare problem!. It might be complicated!. I don't know!. I wish you well!. You WILL succeed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Psychiatrists can be fantastic!. The three I have dealt with have all been ace!. For three years I hated one of them because he didn't do anything I agreed with but at the end of the day he has a really good national reputation and in retrospect never made a bad decision on my behalf!. I've also seen them bend over backwards to find solutions/remedies for complex situations in my fellow patients!.

That's my personal experience, but I know I've been lucky as I've heard other people around the country don't always have such a supportive experience!. There's god one's and less good one's!.

Your complication is possibly that there might be a physical problem as opposed to mental, but even though that may have been the cause, you now have mental issues which can be supported through psychiatry/psychotherapy!.

Wish you luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Psychiatrists are medical doctors as well as being trained in therapy, so I am sure that the psychiatrist will be able to help you!. He will probably want to see the files from your head injury and/or talk to the neurologist who handled your case!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you might want to talk to a neurologist or at least get an MRI or a CAT scan, but a psychiatrist can usually help!. You might be pleasantly surprised, and if not maybe your shrink can refer you to a dr!. that can help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would see a psychiatrist for evaluation but your condition is neurological!. He/she will point you in the right direction and help you through the process!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, they also need one!. lolWww@Answer-Health@Com
