Advice, please?!

Question: Advice, please!?
Okay, so I'm not really sure how to put this in words, but I'll try my best to!. (:

This Sunday, I'm leaving for Missouri so I can visit and meet up with some family and friends from Texas and Kansas!. So when my dad, sister, and I make our first stop in St!. Louis, we'll be staying at my aunt's house for about two days or so, and supposably, my other aunt that lives two hours away from St!. Louis, Missouri will drive down to my aunt in St!. Louis to spend the night, but I'm not really sure how I should 'face' my aunt and I'm not sure what I should say to her!.

Three summers ago, I stayed at my aunts house (the one that lives two hours away from St!. Louis) for the summer since I was having a difficult time at home since I just got released from the hospital for depression and when I was staying at my aunt's house, she took away my depression pills (Prozac) and I was extremely depressed so when I found the bottle of Prozac, I had an overdose and got hospitalize so since I'm going to see her in less than five days, I'm not really sure what I should say to my aunt!. What do you think I should say or do!? I haven't talked to her in three years!.

No harsh or bitter comments!.!.!. and thanks for taking the time to read this, even if it didn't make sense!. (:Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not quite sure why the first two posters said what they did!. You do not need to feel guilty AT ALL about what happened that summer!. Your aunt was wrong to take away your medication--she seriously endangered your health! If you had been recently released from the hospital, depriving you of an SSRI with significant withdrawal symptoms was a terrible decision!. You cannot be held responsible for your actions when you found the pills!.

I can't really tell how you feel about what happened, but please do not think you need to apologize to her in any way!. It is okay if you feel angry or betrayed about what happened, and it is okay if you feel sad or embarassed!. What is important is that approach your aunt in whatever way makes you feel most comfortable!. If that means acting normal and pretending it never happened, fine!. If that means speaking with her privately to tell her that you are upset about what happened, that's fine too!. There is no "right" way to approach this: just take care of yourself!. And, if possible, maybe bring along some reading material about Depression and SSRIs (Prozac) so your aunt can be a little more informed and a little less negligent!. Good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, it sounds like you had a tough time than!. It was three years ago!. I don't know if you've moved on or if you still have trouble with that, but I wouldn't worry about it too much!. I have a niece myself and I love her to death!. She doesn't love you any less!. Any I'm sure she'll be happy to see you and that you are doing fine!. Just be yourself and try not to worry too much!.
God bless!. : ) <><Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dont worry so much!.That was a time of stress but next time it will be different!.Your fear is unjustified!.

I hardly believe she is preparing to yell at you before you get there!.I assume your family notified her of your arrival!.

Be brave!.Think of what to say before you get there!.If possible do not mention what happened 3 years ago!.That is all in the past!.Talk about the good times in your lives!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She's family! It'll be fine!. I wouldn't worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just forget about the past!. But if your aunt brings any bad
memories up I think you have a right to talk back to her
if she is going to treat you like dirt!. It's not your fault
you have depression, and so if your aunt is a good person
she will then have nothing against you!. She will forget
about the past and live for today!.

hope things work out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
