Question: What do you do when youre laying there, trying to sleep but your mind is awake!?
what do you do in your mind, or anything! to make sleeping entertaining!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

having conversation with my other self!.!.!.
we talk until we both fall asleep!.!.

sometimes i want to write the conversation down,, but perhaps my other self,, doesn't allow me to,, because when i woke up in the morning, i hardly remember the whole conversation!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is kind of weird, but I just close my eyes and just try to see what my mind creates!. Sometimes you can see colors!. Just follow your imagination's lead and just see what the colors turn into!.

Or sometimes I try to picture something in my head, as vividly as I can, like that dream car I've always wanted (Lamborghini Murcielago) :PWww@Answer-Health@Com

This is one method:
1!. Slow your breathing!. Count 1 on inhale, 2 on exhale
Just slow deep rthymic breathing with 1 inhale , 2 exhale!.

2!. Count 1, 2, 3, 4,5,!.6!.7!.8!.9!.10!.
11!.12!.13!.14!.15!.16!.17!.18!.19!.20
Then 20 backwards
inhale on the odd, exhale on the even

The monotony will set you off to dreamland in no time!.

That is the counting method!.
This is the relaxation method!.
You start from your forehead!. Feel the forehead relaxing and the tension leaving!.
then ditto for yoyr eyes, nose, cheeks,chin, neck, shoulders, armrs!. legs, and feet!.
As you go down relaxing each body part, your breathing slows down and becomes deeper and deeper!. Soon you will be sleeping like a baby!.

Another one is breathe in slowly, and on the slow exhale out, create a soft sound as you expel the air through your nose!. Rather like a soft snore!. Nothing too forced, just a nice soft sound like you are about to sleep!.

You can recite your prayers again and again!. My favourite is OM MA LI BEH ME HOM ( Buddhist) but recite your own prayers with whtaever religion u belong to!.

Or lastly, you can imagine yourself by the beach, or by the waterfall being slowly lulled to sleep by the soothing sounds of water lapping around you

Basically sleep will come if your body is realxed and tension/stress has left!. So avoid the coffee and other stimulants in the evening, have a regular sleeping hr!. Leave worrying and planning till the next day, cos you are lying there wanting to sleep, not clocking in for mental activity!. Your only thoughts should be pleasant ones,eg by the beach basking in the sun having a relaxing massage!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get a book about something informative, not a novel!. Force yourself to read a chapter everynight and learn the subject matter!. You will gain knowledge in the process and it will put your head will hit the pillow before you know it!. It helps if you have a light that turns off automatically!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I learned this from a book on Yoga!. When you want to stop all thoughts from racing through your mind there are two words they suggest you say, "Oh well" !. You just keep repeating those two words over and over!. "Oh well" because those words tell your brain to exhale and then you begin relaxation!. Personally, I do better just going "hummmmm" Weird, huh!? But it worksWww@Answer-Health@Com

dont keep on any lights, as this confuses your brain!. drink a warm milky drink and have a bath!. lavender oilcan also work!. when you get into bed, read a book until you feel sleepy, then drift away! there are also over the counter meds you can get!. good luck, sweet dreams!Www@Answer-Health@Com

theres usualy shapes n colours moving around

say a word in ur mind n the shapes n colours turn into tht - its amazingly weird!

personally I dont lie there trying to sleep when my mind is active I get up again and go to the computer or watch some TV I only get frustrated if I keep lying thereWww@Answer-Health@Com
