Help I have the shakes, is there anything I can do?!

Question: Help I have the shakes, is there anything I can do!?
I know that everyone assumes the shakes come from drinking too much alcohol, but this isn't so in my case!. I have not had an alcoholic drink in 3 weeks and before that I seldomly drank!. I am a nervous person and I have noticed my shakes get worse when I am nervous or stressed (which occurs almost everyday for me)!. I know I need to get a grip but don't know how!. I am embarrassed by my shaking hands because everyone must thinking I am some kind of alcoholic, furthermore I get more nervous when people look at my hands shaking, causing them to shake even more!. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You have the textbook symptoms of moderate to severe anxiety disorder!. If I say anything that insinuates I'm saying you HAVE it, you and anyone who sees that, please forgive me!. I know that no one but a doctor can diagnose!. But anyone with knowledge of diseases CAN tell you you have the SYMPTOMS of a possible diagnosis!. See a psychiatrist and they will treat this with either SSRI-antidepressant therapy, or the much more effective Benzodiazepine-treatment therapy (after diagnosis of course, which I'm betting on)!. Along with counseling that will help you control your anxiety when the meds don't seem to be working!.

One thing as a side note: PLEASE don't drink, as it's VERY common for sufferers of anxiety to quickly become alcoholics, or at least alcohol abusers, which leads to a whole bunch of s!.h-!.i!.t!.!.!. Trust me!. Before I went on a Benzodiazepine (SSRI-medication did not help), I nearly became a full blown alcoholic!. I hated feeling the way I did!. Alcohol seemed to be the only solution!. I would wake up and a few minutes later, start feeling anxious, and wish I four or five beers to stave it off!. All caused by the awful feeling of worry, shakiness, physically painful symptoms because of those, and (because I also have Panic Disorder: the demon brother of Anxiety Disorder), the constant looming fear of death that sometimes resulted in panic attack!. The anxiety, too, resulted in severe bouts of the same feelings of anxiety (sans panic), just much much more intense and extremely unpleasant, called an anxiety attack!.

Also don't drink if you are prescribed Benzodiazepines!. This can lead to black outs (BAD), and fatal repository suppression (you are so relaxed, your lungs simply slow to the point of a complete stop)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes I get shaky too!.
It is easy to think that everyone is noticing us shaking!.
Most people are too preoccupied with their own world to think about us!. I have found it helpful to keep my hand(s) tense so they will not be able to shake!. I will tell myself, "So what if I am nervous!." "What is so bad about feeling nervous!?" We all get nervous from time to time!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you may have an anxiety disorder, I suggest seeing your Dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
