How can I break the self-harm cycle?!
Question: How can I break the self-harm cycle!?
Distraction techniques stop me for that period of time, but then I'm still stuck long term!. For example I went on holiday last week and didn't hurt myself the whole time I was away- but since I got back I'm back to where I was!.
I enjoy hurting myself, and I don't want to stop!.
Which is why I'm trapped!.
I know I need to stop though, espescially since it's summer and I'm dying in hoodies!
I thought bad experiences with cutting would stop me- I've never had a hospital experience or anything but I've gone further than I wanted and still I want to "beat myself" next time!.
I have support from friends- like one of my friends said she'd quit smoking and I'd quit cutting but I just don't want to! I don't have the motivation to want to stop!. Does anyone have any ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, instead of cutting use a rubber band keep it on your wrist!. when you feel like cutting, snap the rubber band!.
be out in public a lot!. ur less likely to cut in public!.
instead of cutting, get ur feelings out on something else!.write something or draw something or go out for a run!.
