I have been struggling with the same sort of swings in emotions for most of my life as well; and this is what I can tell you!. Everyone is going to have a suggestion and it may or may not work for you!. The important thing to do is find what works for you!. The hardest part for me was to work in small steps and realize that I am not going to find one quick miracle cure!. With that being said here are some things that have worked for me!.

Spicy food- the capsaicin in peppers has the same mood elevating properties as morphine but without the drug habit!.
Removal of stimulus from my life that angers me: uncomfortable cloths, super needy friends, the three pronged fork, etc!. (it is a strange list)
Physical activity: for me it is biking
Establishing a person that I can talk to and letting them know that some days I am going to be terrible and mean but it is not them!. This person also knows that when I talk with them it is not always going to be emotions; in fact it may be long periods of time without emotions!.

All that being said I still lose it and have to try and build on what I have learned!. I am sorry that I can not give you a quick fix and that you have to go through this process!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anger is a difficult emotion to deal with!. I found the best way is also the easiest - leave the room and count to ten!. When my daughter was little and was crying all night and I was sleep deprived I had to come up with a solution as you can't shout at a baby!. My mum taught me the count to ten and it really does work!. I just leave the room, count to ten and come back in!. It's like the brain needs that amount of time to calm down and realise that you don't need to shout, hit or throw anything!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry you are having to deal with this, you didn't mention your age!. I have the same problems and am 48 years old, I've been dealing with this for about 30 years!. I take zoloft and it really helps mellow me out!. I still have periods of crashing and hyperactivity but they are not as extreme!. I've been on the same meds for nearly 20 years!. The only diffrence is now I take it twice a day morning and night, as opposed to just once a day!. Prayer also helps tremendesely!. Diet is also so important!.!. It really matters what you put into your body!. Best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

20 minutes of meditation everyday!.
be vegetarian for 2-3 weeks and feel the difference !!! I guarentee you !!!
if can't!.!.reduce intake of meats!.resolve to fish and more fibre rich food!.
take ASHWAGANTHA!.an Indian herb!.!.!.really works to destress! relaxes the nerves and gets you good sleep!.
indulge in religious activities!.!.!.pray more !! read more of religious materials!.

read motivational books, articles, start appreciating life!.coz you will never know whatz gonna happen in the next very second of your life!. life is just once!.!.!.itz more valuable than anything!.!.!.

do exactly what you are doing now TALK the old adage a problem shared, at first you seem to be achieving nothing so whats the use, I have been angry since I was 15 years old I don't know why many little things that build up and if you don't clear them they stay and add to your anger, you have to concentrate on your anger, so many people say stay away from situations that are going to start you off, impossible any thing can start you off!?, but when the anger starts to come take deep breaths at least ten, if it persist then move away from the sauce, but keep talking about it and it will start getting easier trust me I know what I'm talking about don't dismiss this advice without trying it, what you got to loose!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
