If your meds are working sometimes and sometimes not, that might have something to do with this refound self-medication!. !?!?!? In any case, go see your psychiatrist, talk about what meds are and aren't doing, and fess up about the drinking!. Rapid cycling and apathy are enough to make me want to drink and I don't particularly like alcohol!. If you have a good therapist, that'd be a good place to start talking!. If not, seek out an experienced one you can respect and trust!. If AA was of help before, attend meetings again!. If you participated in something else, pick that up again!. Talk, talk, talk, and get yourself stabilized!. You'll turn it around!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should get into treatment ASAP!. Drinking mixed with a manic or depressive episode can make alot of drama and pain you don't need!. Either find an AA meeting or consider a rehab facility!. A rehab that specializes in dual diagnosis (substance use and mental health) would be the ideal!.

If nothing else, go for an evaluation at a drug treatment agency and see what they say!. - But, I think you already know you need to get help or you wouldn't have posted a question :)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im sorry to hear that!. Are you still taking your bipolar meds!?
Which ones do you take!? My suggestion to you is pick yourself up and dust yourself off and get right back on the wagon!. Then you will be so proud of yourself and so will I!. Good luck!. I wish you the very best!. I know how hard it is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if its drinking or drugs you have to control them and not let them control you!. Just hang in there!. it gets easer with time!. Reformed coke head I miss it but can live better without itWww@Answer-Health@Com

try swapping your addiction for a new substance!. instead of alcohol, try kendal mint cake!. ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com
