Answers:
No, although there do seem to be a number of high-profile people in the acting profession who have bipolar disorder!. One marvelous example is the man in my avatar: Stephen Fry!. He's got quite a severe case of it, and says he thinks that most of his phenomenal successes can be partially attributed to that mania!.

The thing about it is that the manias make people very creative and ambitious -- at least, for those who aren't totally overwhelmed with it -- and that is a great help to people who are already actors/performers!. It is also a great hindrance, of course, but it's not uncommon in the arts sphere!. Bipolar disorder is not just a disease of the stars, obviously, but it is well represented!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. Having a particular mental disorder does not automatically give you any kind of talent in any area!.

Having Bipolar disorder might make someone feel "gifted" or want to call attention to themselves in some way, especially during manic episodes!. But that doesn't guarantee that other people will think they are particularly good at acting or any other art, talent, etc!.

Someone might come up with a list of famous actors who have this disorder, but I can come up with longer lists of people with Bipolar Disorder who are not famous and have no recognized talent as actors or anything else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, I highly doubt people with bipolar disorder would be better actors than those whom are sound of mind!. Additionally, an actor has to be prepared to act under any emotional circumstance they're in and display whatever the director tells them to, being associated with many bipolar people through friends and family I believe they wouldn't be able to accomplish this task out of sheer inability to shake off a feeling for a moment like some "normal" people can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

lol, this is a good question but i dont think so!. i was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder 5 years ago and i have never been a good actor!.
i think the reason so many famouse people tend to have the disorder is because bi-polar people do tend to need outlets!. some write, some paint, some sing, and some act!.
i think thats the only connection with thte two :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, but socipath's are good at it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
