How do I adjust from a bad sleeping routine?!


Question: How do I adjust from a bad sleeping routine!?
I have been in Summer holidays now for about a month and my sleeping routine has gone from waking up at 8am and going to bed at 11pm to waking up a 1pm and going to bed at 3-4am!. Sometimes I dont go to sleep untill the early hours of the morning like 5am!. I dont have a job yet and I really have no responsibilities but I feel like im wasting my summer this way and I want to go back to a healthy sleep routine!. How do I do that!? By the way I'm 16 years old!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to set your self a regular bed time & go to bed at that time every night!. if your gonna find that hard then why not try having a relaxing bath or some camomile tea to help you get to sleep!. The only way you can get back to your sleeping routine is by going to bed earlier, try and do this straight away, for exmpale tonight go to bed at 11pm however if you find this difficult do it hour by hour so go to bed at 4, then 3, then 2, then 1, and then 12 and then 11 :D
you may also want to consider sleeping aids such as horlicks to get you to sleep earlier however these can be difficult to stop using!

Stay up until the time you need to go to bed, pull 24 hours if you have to, get a good sleep, then stay on schedule!. who cares your young, congradulations on your thoughts to care about what you do with your life, your on a good path, stay in school, and do as well as you can, on a good sleeping schedule!. dont go partying and playing computer games and **** like i did!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can either just have one day where you don't go to bed at 5am and just stay up until around 10 pm and go to sleep (that's what I do) - or you can gradually adjust it where you just get up one hour earlier each day until you get to the sleeping schedule that you like!. for a few days, take a sleep aid and sleep around 10 pm!. set alarm for 6 am!. that'd b 8 hrs of sleep which is more than enuff for a 16 yrs guy!. once ur sleep patterns are back on track, try sleeping without a sleep aid or take a cup of warm milk at bed time!. that'd help you fall asleep fast!. at bed time, turn off all distractions, tv, xbox, lights and music!. when the room is completely dark and silent, count backwards from 100!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
