What happens on a manic episode?!

Question: What happens on a manic episode!?
is it just feeling really happy!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Manic episodes vary by individual!. Generally, however, it is an overinflated feeling where you are more prone to engage in reckless behavior or hear voices or feel things that are distorted from the actual reality!. For example, you may never have picked up a guitar in your life, but in a manic episode, you are absolutely convinced you are going to be the next big rock star!. It is far less common to see things that aren't there than to hear things that aren't, but some people do see things!. My step-father's mother used to see tigers when she was on a manic 'high!.' Some people - particularly very intelligent ones - are convinced they are more creative when they are experiencing a manic high!. Then when reality sets in, they find it was just garbage they were writing or performing or whatever!. When in mania, you may spend money you haven't got to spend or engage in indiscriminate sex !.!.!. perhaps with total strangers!.

Mania is a 'high' state of being!. It is an 'altered reality!.' It is pleasant (it's only the later consequences that are not) so a lot of people who are bi-polar don't want to be medicated!. They would rather put up with the 'lows' than give up the occasional highs!.

People who rapidly switch between the high/low stages of this disorder are called rapid cyclers and are often even harder to get to seek help!.

Think about it!. If you were convinced you could scale the Empire State Building, why would you want someone to tell you that you can't and bring you down from your euphoria!? Conversely, what if you tried to scale the Empire State Building and failed and hurt yourself in the process!?

Bi-polar disorder is hard on the person afflicted as well as the people who want to assist them!. The worst is knowing the condition cannot be cured!. Even the many treatments available are not always effective!.

Debilitating illness!. Deserves our sympathy, not our condemnation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. Mania is different to different ppl!. One thing it is to all is extreme, beyond ordinary human emotion, energy, or possibly thinking!. Euphoria is beyond happy, but that's not all there is to it!. There also is an unnatural amount of energy, often no or little need for sleep for days on end, thoughts going to fast to hold, disinhibition and poor decision making, sometimes hypersexuality, sometimes disorganized thinking, sometimes psychosis!. For some, there's a lot of anger and rage!. Mania may often be euphoric, especially when it's hypomania or milder mania, but it's not always, and when it's extreme and unrelenting, it's painful and frightening in it's own way!. There's more, but that's a fair slice of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

actual people with bipolar disorder describe it as being crazy, insanely happy with racing thoughts and ideas and endless energy!. I've heard people describe having high irritability to the point of rage!.!.!.but I've only heard that with one person!.!.!.most describe it as a good thing!.!.!.except for everyone else!.!.!.also!.!.!.they can experience hallucinations/delusions if they are psychotic as well!.!.!.

A lot of people with bipolar disorder that I have encountered don't like to take their meds because they don't get the high they experience without them!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mania:

People become overconfident, euphoric, extremely energetic, don't feel the need for sleep!. They can be very aggressive!.

They can have delusions of grandeur!. They feel like they are on top of the world, they have super powers that no one has, or they are famous and everyone is in love with them!. Things of that sort!.

They talk very fast and have racing thoughts!. They can't slow down!. They lack concentration and good judgment is weakened!.

They often become indulgent in sex, violence, reckless driving, spending binges, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Manic episodes are usually more dangerous to a person than the depressive down swings of a bi-polar cycle!.
Manic persons often talk insanely about brilliant schemes they have, they possibly ruin relationships by running off, can disappear for days, and often spend all their money!. It's bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

people tend to feel that they are invinsable and do crazy, wrackless stuff!. anywhere from shopping into debt, speeding on highways, drinking till way past drunk, drugs, getting into arguments and fights and unsafe sex practices!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its look being hi with out doing drugs!. you are happy hyper crazy and just insane even when someone makes fun of you!. its the best thing in the world for you but no one else likes it 'cause you tend to annoy them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can feel intensely emotional, ( most euphoric)!.I don`t feel pain!. I can rage, and get extremely delusional!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
