Why divorce over bipolar?!

Question: Why divorce over bipolar!?
My husband and I have a very good, solid, secure and loving marriage!. We are best friends and have a loving family!. Like all families we have difficulties!.

We do not get freaked out during a crisis!. We are very resourceful!. I have medical problems, working full time and managing the bills, etc!.

My husband is looking for a job, has mental health issues, been in prison for drugs, been clean for years, on parole!.

My husband & I may have a bad day!. I talk to a friend about the challenges we have and ask for suggestions!. Sometimes a person over-hears the situation & will butt in and say "Get a divorce"! I try to make sure no one listens in!.

It upsets me & this is something he and I can handle!. He was diagnosed after we married & I respect my marriage vows!. We are in love and have a good marriage!.

Just because these challenges are something they would not deal with or couldn

Divorce is an escape from an intolerable relationship!. Many people only focus on the negative!. You have a wonderful positive well-balanced view of your marriage!. Some people take marriage lightly!. It's ok to say "thank you for your concern, but I'm in a committed relationship!." Insensitive and/or opinionated people can be found in any arena!. It's easy to let these naysayers affect us - remember that they are back seat drivers and sofa game show players!. Your marriage commitment show be treasured and honored!. Because a lot of people are ignorant about Bipolar people and don't understand that it's not a horrible disease, and it does not make you a horrible person!.!.!. it simply adds challenges to your life!. I commend you for sticking to your guns and I am ashamed for those who do not know any better than to mind their own business!.

Do NOT divorce your husband, CONTINUE to stick by him, and I wish you both all the vey best in your long and happy life together!. :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, we're in the same boat!. My husband was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after we were married and we do have issues sometimes!. He is really hard to get along with some days!. Sometimes he drives me crazy, so that I just have to get away for a few hours!. But, yeah, I know what you mean!. My mother-in-law has even suggested to him that we divorce, on more than one occasion!. I am still not speaking to her!. People need to just stay out of it if they don't have any constructive advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's a very trite answer to a very serious decision!. Obviously that is not the answer!.

I saw a therapist about 3 times!. I couldn't continue to see her due to the cost!. She helped me a lot though!.

She talked to me about my identity and my self talk!. I knew that I had problems with both!.

On my last visit, she suggested that I get a book!. I don't like to read that much, but this book was the most different and incredible book I'd ever seen!. It is called Powerfirmations!.

I ordered it online for like $40!. I thought it was expensive for a book but it was very different than any I'd ever seen!. It HAD MY NAME IN IT!. I was blown away when I held it in my hands and saw MY NAME embedded in around 100 pages of very powerful statements about myself!. I can say that this book has done FOR ME what I couldn't seem to do for myself!. It truly has changed my life!.

Ive cut and pasted the website name below if you want to go check it out!.
