Am I experiencing insomnia?!


Question: Am I experiencing insomnia!?
For the past week now I have not been able to sleep!.

I feel tired, but I end up getting up to use the bathroom or something and it will be 3 am!.

My mind is constantly racing, with trivial thoughts!.!.!. nothing serious stressing me out!.!.!.

Some health factors that may be influencing:

-I just recently stopped smoking marijuana habitually

-I have a very high metabolism

-I am taking 30mg Zinc and 2mg Copper supplements daily

-I usually eat a meal around 10pm


When I smoked, I'd have the best, deepest sleep, and could do it for up to 10 hours or longer!.!.!.

Now I'm not even sure how much sleep I get because I cannot even distinguish my dreams from my racing thoughts!.!.!.

I couldn't have had more than a few to 5 hours of sleep for the past few nights!.!.!.

Could this be having a very negative impact on my health!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your insomnia is most probably temporary!. I to was a chronic marijuana smoker(for over 10 years) and stopped "cold turkey" over 3 months ago!. The first 2-3 weeks were really hard, but once you pass that point, your life/moods will become stable again!. The fact that your mind is racing with thought is also the withdrawl from pot!. I know it seems like you will not survive the withdrawl but, hang in there, things will get better!.!.!.just give it time!. You may have been falling asleep faster when you smoked but believe me, you will feel more "energised" without being stone!.

Remembering your dreams or not is not a sign of good sleep!. You actually dream in between deep sleep periods and, your dreams may feel like they lasted all night but in fact, dreams last no more than about 15 minutes (if not less!!)!. The reason you remember dreams when you wake up is because you got awakened in the middle of it!. If you are in another "fase" of sleep when you wake up, you'll feel like you haven't dreamt cause you can't remeber them (your dreams!.!.!.)

Eating late is also a factor that can affect your quality of sleep!.!.!.especialy if you eat meat and other foods that take more time to digest( like pasta and other carbohydrates)!. I would suggest that you eat at least 4hrs before bedtime, but if your schedule doesn't give you any choice, try to eat things that are easely digested (google the info!. on food!.!.!.) and smaller portions!.

If your lack of sleep is affecting you to mutch, you can try relaxation CDs or meditation (it can be something as simple as concentrating on your breathing!.!.!.PS: to relax more, breathe from your stomack!.!.!.!.meaning: when you inhale, fill up your belly and not just your lungs!.!.!.) Or, you can always use those over the counter sleep aids (but be carefull not to get hooked-up on those!!)!.!.!.!.Or, try herbal teas such as: lavender and camomile (until you pass the withdrawl of marijuana)!.!.!.

I would check with a doctor and see if a mild anxiety medication may be a good solution!. I have had an anxiety disorder for about 6 years now!. It stemmed from incessant drinking, and taking way too many "truck stop" pills for a considerable amount of time!. Sleeplessness, insomnia, and nervous racing thoughts prior to falling asleep were causing me to be lethargic and unproductive!.

A well balanced low-cholesterol diet has helped more than anything!. I do keep on hand a bottle of Hydroxyzine HCL just in case I have an anxiety attack!. A 25mg tab puts me to sleep within an hour!. I don't like to take them, but if it gets me the rest I need, then so be it!.

I totally believe this could be affecting your health!. As you get older you will find what that affect is!.
What ever you are doing now, change those habits!. Choose to change some things you are now interested in for instance and look into some new interests and purpose for your life!. You have only one life so CHOOSE how to live it effectively and happily!. Success only comes to the ones who choose to go after it!. You are a gifted person and have a destiny only YOU can achieve!. So, GO after it NOW!. Don't waste time just letting things happen to you but seek after life and you will find it!.
Now, FEED your mind with positive, healthy, thoughts and ideas !
