Would weight loss surgery change mental function?!

Question: Would weight loss surgery change mental function!?
I've noticed my friend is very blunt, cross and quite critical of others!. Before his weight loss surgery he was very laid back and never made those unkind comments!. He has lost over 100 pounds and is doing well physically!. His personality is so different!. He acts like he would enjoy a big argument!. So far I've kept the peace but he's getting worse!. Well about 2 years ago I weighed 330lbs! I was always shy and kept to myself a lot never felt good about myself at all then!. I had a brain tumour removed and turns out it was the cause of me being over weight so now 2 years later Im down to 199lbs!!. I can honestly say im not that shy anymore I actually have some confidence in myself and Im able to go up and just talk to guys now and not worry what they are going to think I also have more energy then before so I do a whole lot more everyday then what i could before!. I do believe lossing weight can change you to a certian point yes but it has not made me cocky or anything like that i would never talk about others or be a smart butt about it not at all!. Id say if he kepts being liking that maybe you should point it out to him because he might not notice it at all!. Maybe if you say something he will relize and stop it because right now he is just happy about lossing all the weight and proly not thinking about anything elese or how he is acting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Short answer : yes

Longer answer: After the surgery, a person has to adjust to new diets and lifestyles, which are stressful, which in turn affects mental function!.

Also, people who lose weight often report not feeling like themselves, and feel as if they are somebody else!. This is again due to the adjustment in self-image that is necessary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I found that some people who lose a lot of weight and start to get noticed get too big for their britches (so to speak) and get a horrible attitude and then i have found some who thought the weight loss was going to fix everything in their life and when it doesn't they got bitter!. You need to tell him about himself and tell him you do not need the attitude and losing weight is not helping his personality any!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lmao @ the frontal labotomy dude!.!.
Er,!.!. regarding the question, when someone has weight-loss surgery, not only do they go through a serious physical/emotional experience, but their body changes as well!. If your friend was over-weight for years, and suddenly lost all this weight, he may feel like a whole other person, possibly even detaching himself from his "Old" personality, when he was overweight, and creating a new persona, which would coincide with his "new" physical self!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think weight loss surgery is a major adustment!.
The person has to change his/her whole way of eating!.
I think I would be very upset after the surgery!.
The person has to find new ways to replace the pleasure they once found in food!. This must be very hard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
