i get this
you said you were a recovering anorexic!?
well again i say, so am I!.

anorexia is, to some extent, like a drug addiction!. it feeds you, the starvation!. coming out of it can temporarily give you depressed and ill feelings!. you can get dizzy, tired, ill from making your diet better!.

the starvation side of anorexia also increases depression!. your brain hasn't got enough nutrients and being underweight your body finds difficulty in functioning and producing enough seretonin to stay happy!.

just think, this is only a temporary state!. take st johns wart (a herbal anti depressive) and keep eating and drinking healthily!. go for walks, read, and speak to friends or family when your down!.

make your you have lots of plans-days out with friends or family, projects, cinema trips!? shopping!? keep yourself happy!. write short stories or make a comic book!.!.!. the ideas are endless!.

change your outlook!.
next time its raining

"stop waiting for the storm to pass, go out and dance in the rain"
live for the moment!.

To answer your questions:
1!. These definately could be symptoms of depression
2!. They could be due to something else depending on your circumstances in your life lately (bereavement, adjustment to new circumstances etc!.), other psychological problems you may have (e!.g!., anxiety-related, low self-esteem, problems in terms of how you relate to others), or physical health problems (e!.g!., problems with hormonal funcitoning)!.
3!. The physical symptoms of depression include lethargy, changes in apetite (need more or less food), tiredness and changes in sleep patterns (needing more or less sleep), lowered motivation, lowered sex drive!.

A review of these issues with your GP and a subsequent referral to a mental health professional shoud help to clarify these issues!. There are also good self-help books (e!.g!., Overcoming Depression, by Paul Gilbert)!.

I hope things improve,

clinical depression can cause generalized body aches, persistant feeling of severe fatigue and headache!.
To determine whether or not you are clinically depressed you need to see a mental health professional, they can assess you and give an accurate diagnosis and then recommend any indicated treatment!.!.!.the person that tries to diagnose themselves only has a fool for a patient!.
Is your unhappiness tied to circumstances in your life!? Then you are not likely clinically depressed, you are just having a tough patch!.!.!.and those all pass eventually!. Remember, nothing in this life remains static, all things change!. Situational depression, or sadness due to circumstances, is temporary, sometimes some counselling will help you get thru it!.!.!.!.if there is no apparent reason for your sad mood, then it would be a good thing to seek professional assistance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
