Question: How can you make someone get a mental evaluation!?
my grandmother needs help, she's seriously crazy!. but she claims nothing is wrong with her and that everyone else is crazy!. she takes after her grandchildren with knives, shoves keys into their heads, calls all of her daughters s!uts and wh0r3s, doesn't get along with anyone, beats her dogs if they make any noise, spits in peoples foods, she's too lazy to get up and go to the bathroom so she pees wherever she's at (usually on furniture), i've NEVER seen her shower, she says "washes" with a cloth and water, etc!.
is there like a petition my family can sign to get her mentally evaluated!?

I'm not an attorney, or a doctor!. I speak only from past experience!.
Many states have a 72 hour hold, where they can hold and evaluate someone's mental condition, without their permission!. The criteria I've been told, is they have to be a danger to themselves or others!. The trick is getting them there in the first place!.
Your family needs to come together and devise a plan to get her help as soon as possible!.
Any chance she has a doctor who can get involved in this!? Her local County Dept!. of Health should have a mental health division, which can guide you in the local resources available!. Some counties have mobile mental health units that can go to a person
