Question: How can i learn to stop cutting myself
I have a problem with cutting myself, i try to stop cut i just do when i cant seem to control myself!. Any advice!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that just training yourself to have a couple of seconds thought can make a difference in some cases!.
What I've tried before is to make my "equipment" hard to get at, I tie string around it, and put it in a velvet pouch I tie tightly, it takes just a bit longer to get to it- those few seconds in some cases can allow you enough time to think!.!.!. and decide against it!

What do you mean "learn"!? You already know not to do it!. you need a doctor seriously!. you need to get whatever is inside of you out, you need to realize that you really are alive and cutting yourself will eventually make you dead, either by accident or by infection!. So how about just growing up, realizing that the world isn't that bad, pull yourself up by your boot straps and go make something of you life!. No one is going to do it for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well are you saved,have you accepter Jesus Christ as your personal savior!?Maybe you should pray to GOD about this!.GOD is the only one who can help you with this!.GOD loves you and GOD cares about you!.GOD doesn't want to see you hurt youself like that!.Pray to GOD about this!.It seems that you need to entertain yourself,do you only do this when you get bored!?Express your feelings on a piece of paper or paint how you feel!.It let's out your feelings without any destruction or anything!.Listen to constructive music such as Switchfoot or Jon Foreman!.Write a song or a poem telling how you feel at the moment!.Watch constructive television shows!.Get into some sports or some church activities!.Talk to your family or talk to a close friend!.Remove all sharp items away from your territory!.Just set in your room and think!.Cutting dos not solve anything!.Cutting is a false sense of pleasure and a false sense of relief!.You just think it is relief and pleasure at the time but you find that after you do it,it was not worth the marks on your skin!.But you find that it just makes things worse when you cut yourself!.I hope that I helped you in some way!.GOD BLESS you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was a cutter!. You need to learn coping skills!. These are things that you can do until the erge goes away!. But want you need to focus more on is why you do it!. This is the only way you are going to stop!. Get help because cutting is an addiction!. Most people can't stop until they get help!. I had to and there is no shame in that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you told anyone!?
It's really hard to stop any bad habit!. The best way is to ask someone who will understand!. (Which, at the moment i am not the best person, because I have never had to deal with cutting!.)

One thing that might help is to stop and think -- keep it on your mind that you DO NOT want to!. Hide away whatever you use to do it -- Keep it out of sight, remove the temptation!.

Buy a carrot or something, and just cut that whenever you feel the need to hurt yourself!.!. I know it sounds stupid but it does work!.
Although maybe at first you should try to solve the problem as to why you are cutting yourself!.

I used to cut myself too!.!.what I do is not to think of negative things!. I go out for a walk!. I doing sumthing tha keep me busy or doing sumthing to make me happy such as talkin to my friends, watch movie wit friends!.!.go to the mall and shoppin!.!.hope tha will help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its not the cutting you need to focus on, its the emotions!. try medication, a good friend, a pet, or some thing that makes you feel better!. smoke pot!. idk, theres a lot more options than you think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Instead of cutting yourself to take your mind away from your painful life, why not walk, jog or get on a bicycle and go until the urge to cut goes away!. Soon you will start feeling better too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
