I am bipolar manic depressive!. My mother is also, my daughter and my brother are all bipolar!. It is hereditary!. I had to find out from a psychiatrist!. It did help with my mother having the disease because I was able to let the doctor know!. I have been on many different medications, still trying to find the "right" one!. Bipolar can usually be determined by mood swings and rapid changes in mood and personality!. Most people find that one time they will feel completely depressed and the next on top of the world!.
I'm sure that a psychologist or a counselor can diagnose this or refer you to a doctor that can!.

I'm 16, and I have bipolar!. It's basically lots of mood swings, from being really happy to being at rock bottom!. And you should go to your doctor, who will then refer you to a psychiatrist who will look into it further with you!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
