Afraid to sleep in my own bedroom?!

Question: Afraid to sleep in my own bedroom!?
I got really sick about 3 months ago, and I still am very sick, but I feel alot better about the situation,
Anyway during the start of the illness, I spent about 3 days having a huge anxiety attack, I couldn't function at all, all I did was sit in my room and worry, and sleep!.
So anyway after a few days I started feelin alot better about things, and thats been the start of a whole new phase of my life, I appreciate things more and even tho I am still worrying alot about my health, Life is just so much sweeter!.
So anyway The night i started feeling better, I slept on the couch and have done ever since then, I am so afraid of sleeping in my room again cos it feels like I will go back into my old life, and that whole experience over those 3 days will repeat,
My family is gettin sick of me sleepin on the couch, but I have only just started being able to go in there, let alone sleep in there,
I do feel like I want to have my own room tho, somewhere I can go,
So what can I do to make myself sleep in there!? Is there anything I can do to make these feelings go away!?
Any helpful advice is appreciated :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like memories are attached to the room!. When you think of sleeping in the room, it brings back bad memories!. A lot of objects in our lives are tied to memories, good and bad!. But you have the power to control your thoughts!. What is the worse thing that can happen if you sleep in the room!? A restless night!? Nightmares!? Anxiety attack!? Can you live through it!? Is there an object that brings comfortable feelings when you touch it; a book, a picture, a gift from someone who loves you!? Have the object in bed with you and when things become difficult for you, touch your comfortable memory object!. Memories can fade or be changed over time!. Sometimes I can't sleep and I take a long hot bath without the lights!. I let my mind relax!. There is the noise of your life, but mentally step down deeper in your mind!. Like steps on a staircase, allow yourself to relax one step at a time!. Time does not matter!. This can take you a few minutes or it can take over an hour!. Let your mind release all the worries and concerns of your life!. When you are relaxed, get out and go directly to bed!. Remember the way you felt when you were totally relaxed!. Again, allow yourself to relax one step at a time!. The more you practice relaxing the easier it will become for you!.

hmmmm well if you dont want to be in your room then ask if you can trade with somebody else in your family or change everything around in your room so that it doesnt even remind you of your old room, so that when you sleep in it, it will be like a fresh start!. ooo and always let in the sunlight!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

try re arrangeing things in your room and putting some new collors in e!.g by putting flowers around or asking familys members for something!. posters are good to!. the whole idea is you dont want to sleep in that same old room so try change the look of it so its not that same room you got sick inWww@Answer-Health@Com

Change the room, get new sheets, switch the furniture, get new curtains!. EVERYTHING! to make it feel brand new, just like ur new life =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
