Don't worry about it!. Some people just wake up and cry!. Some laugh!. Some swear!. Some are combative!. I have no idea why, it's just the way people react!. Most do nothing at all - you're one of the special ones :)

If you cried this time, you'll probably do it again if you have general anesthesia, so you can warn your anesthesiologist, and s/he'll pass that on to the recovery room nurse!. They're used to seeing it!.

We're more concerned about the combative ones, because they can hurt themselves or others!. Criers just need a little comfort and a warm blanket, and they get over it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think your reaction to general anesthesia warrants a psych eval, unless you are prone to unexplained crying jags now!. General anesthesia affects all people differently!. Feeling that you were not in control of your body may have triggered an overly emotional response, and then, there's always the concept of being afraid of pain or the recovery process!.
Underlying psychological issues will surface in your everyday life, so I wouldn't worry too much about your response to the surgery unless it is still a problem for you!.
Following my surgery, after being sick to my stomach from the anesthesia and pain medication, I cried out of frustration!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
