How can I nicely terminate my appointments with my treatment team?!
Question: How can I nicely terminate my appointments with my treatment team!?
I'm in recovery from Anorexia!. I have been in recovery for over a year now, and I have been seeing my treatment team (Nutritionist and Therapist) since 2006!. I want to terminate my appointments because I can't financially afford to go to them!. Also, I want to stop seeing them because I don't feel that I need as much support!.
I've tried to stop seeing my therapist a few times, but she feels that I'm not "ready"!. I feel it's important to break free for a bit and just prove to myself that I really am capable of doing it on my own (as I have been)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The type of therapy you have had is very specialized to your area of need!.
Because both therapist and nutritionist have seen many people with this problem, their understanding of what it takes long-term to survive and thrive after Anorexia is valuable insight!.
Suggestion: write down your reasons -financial and feeling ready to end therapy!. Bring your list to your next session!. While you are there, ask your therapist what she believes are signs that someone is "ready" to cut back on therapy!.
You may modify your therapy plan by shifting into a "monthly group therapy", or maybe individual therapy every 60 days, etc!.
As your life moves on, and you encounter new stresses, be careful to not leave yourself "high and dry" without a "safety net" of resources!.
Keep your phone numbers in your wallet for the next few years!. Seriously!. Life can get hard, and old habits can come back very quickly during stressful times!.
So you feel you're ready to graduate!. Congratulations on your new found health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Instead of dropping your treatment team, I would seek out another way to cover the costs of getting the help that you need to ensure your success!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
