Kate,
I am in a relationship with a bipolar man right now!. We have been together for 8 years!. We have been engaged for 8 years!. We had a wedding planned twice and it fell through because of his violent mood swings!. Whe he is up he is the sweetest and most loving kind man you would ever want to know!. When he is down he is pushing you away and doesnt love you anymore!. If you truly want this relationship it will take a lot of hard work and patience!. I really dont see Robert and I ever getting married but growing old together yes we will!. Sometimes he will tell you he doesnt love you anymore and the next he is calling you telling you he misses you and loves you very much and most of the time in the same day sometimes even with in a few minutes!. You will have many days where you will cry bought on by something he has done or said!. He will be moving in here soon!. I have read many sites on bi polar disorder but they can not prepare you for living with the actual thing!. You must be strong and supportive at all times and read your mans moods!. He will have moods where he says he doesnt want company!. You will need to read whether it is depression when he actually needs you to be there or to give him some space!. I love this man very much and always have right from the start!. Nothing he has said or done in the past has changed that!. We have something very special!. It takes hard work,Patience and above all understanding!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh, yes! What a roller coaster ride!. I never knew when or what to say, or what to do, because I was afraid I would trigger the manic in him!. When he was depressed, I couldn't reach him either!.

Unfortunately, he wouldn't stay on his medication!. If he had, he was leveled out!.

It did not work, because I was a nervous wreck always feeling that I had to walk on egg shells to avoid setting him off either in a deep depression or a screaming ranting state of his manic side!.

My advise: Don't get involved - you'll suffer so much pain and hurt!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
