Obsession with beauty and insecurity!
Question: Obsession with beauty and insecurity
People always assume that girls are far more obsessed with beauty and have far more insecurities about their looks than men!. Do you agree!? Even girls that are deemed beautiful are often very concerned with the way they look!. Though a lot of people think I'm pretty and I'm okay with how I look MOST of the time, there are other times where I feel depressed looking at myself!. Most of my issues have to do with my past though so I want to know how you guys feel about your looks!. Do these feelings vary for no reason!? :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes some people can get overly particular about their appearance and it can affect their confidence level and feelings extremely!.
i would suggest that
1) you accept yourself for what you are and know that you are a nice human being whether or not you look good!. your friends and family love you, no matter how you look!. theres so much more to a person!.
i believe that television and movies overemphasize beauty and the importance of being good-looking!. if you actually observe people around you you'll realise there are very few people who are actually beautiful or perfect in appearance!.
most of the really successful people are ordinary/average looking!.
2) take up an activity which channels other aspects of you - like take up a language class where you will need to use your intelligence or take up a sport for your agility or develop a musical talent!. theres so many aspects to a human life!. learn to appreciate all of them!.
just a note: have you noticed, if you have a pet, how unconditionally it accepts you and loves you no matter how you look!? if you dont have one, try to spend some time with animals!. it makes a person feel good about life!. just my opinion!.

i totally feel the same way!.!.!.some days i'm fine with how i look and other i can't even stand looking in a mirror!.
but same as you, a lot of that comes with my experiences!.!.!.!.
