I guess drinking a lot of saltwater could increase blood sodium levels to dangerous or lethal levels!. I don't know that you'd call it "going crazy" exactly, but hypernatremia caused by excess sodium intake would cause mental status disturbances the same as in dehydration -- confusion, lethargy, etc!.
