What is the best way to deal with someone who always changes the subject to some!

Question: What is the best way to deal with someone who always changes the subject to something about them!?
Sometimes it's not even about their own personal life, but whatever agenda/philosophy they are angry about this week!.

For example:

"Yes, I'd like some chicken nuggets, please!."

"By ordering chicken nuggets, you advocate the eating of meat, which calls for the destruction of animals, which is part of our patriarchal culture, which oversees the systematic destruction of our society and the planet in general!"

"Um, I'd also like some barbecue dipping sauce with those!."

Do people such as that who respond in such a delusional, know-it-all tone actually look that stuff up somewhere, or do they just make it up as they go along!?

Just seems sad that there are some who live their lives in a constant state of agitation!. What is the best way to bring someone like that back to reality, and get them to stop being so self-absorbed!? Or is it a lost cause!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's a good question!.

I 'd say that it depends on the person!. Some people just need a slap in the face, they just need someone to stand up to them and give them the blunt truth that "Hey, you need to get over yourself!. You dont know everything!. And I can see that because you honestly believe that you do know everything, it only results in you becoming agitated!. I think you should try accepting the differences in people because there's no way you can change the whole world and if you go on the way you are you'll just end up an ugly, grumpy, agitated, lonely old man/woman with nothing to live for!. So, get over yourself and embrace the world as is, and you'll lead a much more productive, happy, and fulfilling life with a sense of accomplishment at the end!."

okay!.!. you don't need to go on a speech quite so long!. But my point is!.!.!. if you tell them the truth, the common sense truth!.!.!. it will usually hit them somewhere!.

People are generally not used to being talked to that way, so standing up and saying something that sounds like you actually care for their well-being will totally take them off guard and if not more, make them think!.

I hope i answered the question and didn't just go off on a rant!. ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have found that the best way is to TELL him/her abt it - that person may not be aware at all!. You can still be nice abt it, but if it gets uncomfortable, you can ask, why is it that its always abt you!.

For me, sometimes i just cease to hv dialogue with that kind of person!.
Saves me a lot of irritation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get new friends! If family!? Leave the room, hang up the phone!. This will be doing yourself a favor!. I have people around me to like this!.
GOOD LUCK!Www@Answer-Health@Com
