(one year later)
about a week ago i had felt i had been drinking to much again and decided to slow things down a bit so i tried to not drink, i took a few of the trifluoperazine tablets i had left to try and help me feel more relaxed as they are tranquilizers, they helped very little so i ended up drinking anyway!.!.!. the next day my tongue swelled up and i was rushed to the doctor again!.!.!.!.!. turned out to be a bad reaction!.!.!. i have not been put on 'propranolol' a mild tranquilizer which does make me feel a bit better but not totally!.!.!. for the last 6 days i have not drunk any alcohol but the symptoms still seem to be lasting on,

Answers:
drugs are very bad for your head!. seriously!. alcohol too!. see a therapist!.

i don't know how to fix your problem, but a therapist might!.

this is my advice, it's what i would try if i was you:

stop drinking!.
start practicing deep breathing and yoga when you panic!.
see a therapist!.
keep a journal!.
try not to take any pills!.
look into holistic destress techniques!.

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

'Shrooms do that to people!. I know a guy that took those and he was never the same!.

talk to your doctor, tell him what is going on, and tell him about the shrooms if you haven't all ready!.

Try eating well and EXERCISING! That guy I know started working out and he got better!Www@Answer-Health@Com

try good nutrition, exercise and St Johns Wort from a health food store!.
That regimen will stop the anxiety and the alcohol cravings which is nothing more than your body wanting to be relieved from all the anxiety!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't want my answer to sound judgemental but I think you might have an addiction problem that is compounded by a panic disorder!. You need to seek some help with both!. by the way propranolol is not a mild tranquilizer, it is in a class of meds called beta blockers used to treat high blood pressure and rapid heart rate!. Please get help quickly especially if you truly feel suicidal!. You could try contacting your local human resources dept and request to see an emergency counsellor, !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to feel the same way!. Please take this into consideration!. It worked for me, although I am not you!.

I had overwhelming anxiety!. It turned out to be my use of Splenda!. Yup Splenda!. How could something that taste so good, be so bad!?

I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is!. And it is in a lot of stuff!. Sadly, the package doesn't have to say Splenda or diet to have sucralose in it!. You have to read labels!. So, you might be using it and don't even know it!

Sucralose is poison!. It ruined five years of my life!. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression, mood swings, insomnia, gastrointestinal issues and more!.

Go ahead, google: anxiety splenda or anxiety sucralose or insomnia splenda or insomnia sucralose

The slogan, "Made from sugar!.!.!." is very misleading!. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar!. The resulting chemical is an organochloride (chlorocarbon)!. Organochlorides are typically poisons!.

carbon monoxide - made from oxygen so its like a breath of fresh air

If you are suicidal, you need to be in 24/hr inpatient suicide watch care!. Go to the hospital and tell them you are suicidal!.

If you are not suicidal, you still need to see a psychiatrist!. They need to stabilize you on meds so you don't feel like you need to be drinking to "get rid of anxiety"!. That would indicate to me that your meds are not working for you, are not at the correct dosage, etc!.

The alcohol is not going to help anything, it may seem to calm at the moment but the outcome is that you will end up feeling more depressed and anxious than you were before drinking, hence, that is the 'depressant' effect of alcohol!.

Please get yourself help somewhere in whatever form you see necessary!. There are many medications available for the symptoms you are describing so please don't give up hope!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to go to detox & learn to deal with your problems minus drugs & alcohol!. these substances only make it seem better, whereas they are really making it worse!. next time you feel like your so stressed you need to reach for a forgin substance try square breathing, this is: breathing in for 4 counts, hold for 4 counts, exhale for 4, hold for 4!. I swear this works i used to smoke several times daily that just made anxiety worse for me and as I told friends, many agreed that it was the same for them!. now i exercise for stress releif & eat healthy, I still have cocktails on ocasion but 2 beers is usally enough!. I recently tried yoga it was enlightining!.anyhow square breathing can relax me enough to put me to sleep when my mind is rushing with anxiety!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Psychedelic drugs like mushrooms actually change the neurology of your brain every time you use them!. So it is possible that your 'shroom trip helped cause your current panic attacks!. I hope you've been upfront with your doctors about this, so that they can properly treat you!. it's good to try to curb your drinking as that does more harm than good in these situations!. The truth is that you may not be able to "fix this problem"!. Be honest with your doctor about drugs and alcohol use and the fact that you've become suicidal and don't be afraid of receiving serious treatment b/c that may be what you need!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
