Question: Schizophrenia help needed
I suffer from schizophrenia some times I'm normail and others i do and say odd things and the doc's put me on tablets but before the tablets i only had the voices and maybe i seen things at night that went they like people in the corner and stuff, but now I've been put on the tablets it has got worse, I cant walk down the street without hearing people saying stuff about me, I put me MP3 player on and it gets worse, I start to giggle to myself , and today I was in the town and I went up to a woman on the floor and they was no one they and some mornings I forget to take them!. my mam is taking me to the doc's again on monday to see if they can give me the injections but I'm afraid it will make me worse and i'm sure everyone giving up on me, like they want to take me to a hospital, cos my step dad is always having quite convo's with her about me

Schizophrenia is hard, I know that myself!.
I've been through the same thing as you, I was suffering and then medication just made me worse!. The worst thing for me was not knowing what was in my head and what was real!. I got so frightened that my family would send me to a home and was convinced that everyone was plotting against me!. It sounds to me like what you're thinking is just a delusion, your family want to help you and wouldn't give up on you!. Trust them and they will do the best thing for you!.
My schizophrenia developed when I was around fifteen and got really bad!. Not all medications work for everyone and you have to keep trying!. You're aware that you're schizophrenic but I don't think you can tell the difference between your schizophrenia and real life!. I had the same problem when I was diagnosed, I couldn't figure out what was real and what wasn't!. I would hear voices constantly putting me down, shouting things at me and it made me too scared to even go out!. I saw blood pouring from objects and people following me or watching me!. I thought at one point that my brother was in MI5 and thought that they were planning to kill me!.
When I started medication, the voices started to tell me that I was stupid to think tablets would get rid of them!. It got much worse, until I could hear them telling me to hurt myself and others and I listened!. I tried different medications and then I went into hospital!. I was also on heroin which made it a lot worse!. While I was in hospital, I would see people at the windows screaming and banging on them from the outside!. I got so scared that I wouldn't let the nurses turn the light off and one time I had to be sedated because I was violent!.
Schizophrenia is a constant battle between reality and fantasy!. You have to trust your family and the doctors, they will do what's best for you and you will find something that works!.

It sounds like you could be on the wrong medications!. Also, you can't just take your medicine when you are having symptoms, you have to take it everyday to stop the symptoms!. If your problem doesn't get better, you should ask you mother to maybe get you another doctor!. Not all doctors are equal!. There are, however, medications today that can lower you symptoms!. Your doctor may have to try different ones to get the right combination for you!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
hi,sometimes you may have to try other medications,as what one medication might do for one person may not for the next,as we are all different!.if you just recently started talking the medication it can sometimes take up to a month to reach the theraputic level!.If your step dad doesn't understand about your illness,you can have him do some research on the internet,cause there's lots of information on it,which could help both him and your mom learn and help them to understand it better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The injection should help, not make it worse!. Part of the reason it is getting worse is because you are forgetting to take your tablets!. Work with your doctor and mam!. Give the injections a try since they are apt to help!. If they don't help enough, then talk to your doc about a different medicine!. Be patient and persistent!. Something will work!. When you go to the doctor, tell him what you have told us!
He may put you on something different that suits you!.
Remember, your mum wants what is best for you, as long as you take your medication properly you will cope!.

It sounds like you need different medication!. Tell your doctor what's happening, he might need to either change the medication, or change the dosage!.

There is no cure for Schiz!., but they have Meds that can control you from not having episodes!.!.HUGS!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
