Does your therapist really like you, or are they just doing their job?!

Question: Does your therapist really like you, or are they just doing their job!?
Everyone thinks their therapist likes them right!? But if they werent your councellor and had just met you in a social situation do you think that they would like you!? Do you think a councellor/therapist can still do their job if they dont actually like you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I think weather or not your therapist "likes" you is irrelavant, because they're not there to have a social relationship with you, but a therapeutic one and thats the angle they look at it from!.

Im not a therapist but I recieve treatment for depression and I work with people who have learning disabilities and mental health problems!. All clients have something unique and nice about them and I genuinly care about them all!.

However, therapists and support workers are only human and there are some clients I find harder to work with!. But I try to never let that affect my interactions with them, and would never treat a client differently because of my personal preference and be professional about things!. So to answer you question yes, I think a therapist can still do their job well regardless of weather they like you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That would be called a good friend

Like you or not, doing their job or not, it's better for your cause and theirs that you just believe they like you!.

That's the same deal with teachers!. Do they REALLY mean your special and naturally talented, or do they say that to every one of their students for encouragement as a part of what they learned in their psychology classes!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't have a counselor but hope that they do not perform their job based on the fact if they like someone or not!. They are there to do their job and to remain objective!. Any involment with the patient rather than professional would be inapropriate and not helpful at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
