Are these common side effects of Valium?!

Question: Are these common side effects of Valium!?
i have a prescription for Valium to help my insomnia, as well as my anxiety!. i dont take it every day, only when i need it, as i am afraid of becoming dependant on it!.

the first few times i took it to help me sleep, it worked great!. but lately my insomnia and anxiety has gotten worse, and i've been taking it mostly every night!. the last few times i've taken the valium iwas really dizzy and lost a lot of my coordination and balance and i have trouble doing normal things such as walking and typing!. also, my sceech becomes slurred and i am unable to think clearly!. when spoken to i just ramble on making no sense and not really paying any attention to what i'm saying!.
i've also noticed that somtimes when i take it i feel very sad and depressed about everything, but after it wears off i'm ok!.

also, sometimes when i am lying down before i fall asleep, my breathing slows so much that i'm scared i will forget to breathe at all!. though thankfully, that's never happened!.

i live in an assisted livng home, and last night when one of the nurses came to my room, it wasn't long after i'd taken it, and just by talking to me, she thought i had overdosed until she checked to see how many of the pills i had left!.

i'm kind of scared to take it anymore, but its the only thing i have right now to help me sleep, so i have to!.

i havent been taking any other medications that could be interacting with it!. and the only thing i can think of that may cause my body to react to it differently is that i've lost some weight recently!. (i wasnt trying to loose the weight, so now i'm a little on the too-skinny side, but trying to gain it back!.)
i'm also diabetic, but i dont know if that could have anything to do with it or not!.

does anyone know why it could be effecting me this way!?

thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Those are very common side affects of taking valium!. It would be a good idea to talk to a specialist about it and describe your symptoms!. Maybe the dosage is too high especially if your on the skinny side, or maybe you'll have to look into alternative sleeping tablets!. Have you tried taking natural remedies e!.g!. 5htp (get consultation before taking it, but it can help with anxiety), valerian, melatonin!? Www@Answer-Health@Com
