What should I do with this?!

Question: What should I do with this!?
I'm depressed!. I feel like the world is out against me all the time!. I am uncomfortable when I see that people are happy!. I cry about anything (right now I'm crying because I'm writing this)!. The only person I have told this to doesn't seem to try and understand me, he says I'm just making it all up!. I know I really have nothing to be depressed about but it happens and most of the time I have a horrible attitude without wanting to!. I don't live with my parents and I wish I could tell them but in a way I'm embarrassed and I don't want them to worry!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depression is nothing to be embarrassed about!. And it is hard for a lot of people to understand!. Might be a good time to talk to a counselor!. They will help you understand what is going on and how to deal with it!. Your first step should be to see your doctor in order to rule out any medical issues that could be causing it!. You don't have to have something to be depressed about in order to be depressed!. It can be a chemical imbalance in your brain!. Try walking every day - exercise releases a natural antidepressant into your system!. Depression is VERY common and there are ways to help you thru it!. Have been there and I know how frustrating it can be!. Take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it really sounds as if you have a clinical depression, and these can only be cured with medication!. they don't just go away on their own!. now there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of!. it is no different than if you had a medical condition like say, diabetes!. the reason for a clinical depression is that the brain in some people just doesn't produce enough of a certain chemical!. the doctors can correct that with medication!. don't feel so bad, its really not a big deal- many people in my family suffer these types of conditions, and with the proper medication, they are just fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The gentleman who gave you answer # 2 is NOT entirely correct!. The list he uses is from the psychiatric bible called the DSM, however everyone's depression is different!. Example, if you only have 4 symptoms, you don't have depression!?!?!?!? Hogwash! The DSM is a guide, not a be-all-end-all!. A list cannot evaluate you, only a human can!.

Printing that list is dangerous and misleading especially to younger people!.

Find someone to talk to, even if it is just a hotline, they can and will help!.
