A One Time Severe Episode of Stuttering That Lasted for Hours and Hours? - What !

Question: A One Time Severe Episode of Stuttering That Lasted for Hours and Hours!? - What caused it!?
I'm 31 years old, and the only instance of stuttering I've had in the past was at an old job and I was really nervious!.

This past Thursday, I experienced a severe episode of stuttering; trouble typing on the keyboard; and I had an unsteady gait (walking like I was drunk but I was cold sober)!. It was awful!. I couldn't complete a sentence!. I sounded like a terribly broken record!

I spoke with my brother on the phone and he couldn't believe it!. Was it an an adverse reaction to Lexapro!?

I paid a visit to my psychiatrist earlier today!. He said it was not the medicine, and left it at that, recommending that I follow-up with my primary care physician!.

I called my primary care physican's office today, spoke to the nurse!. She said it sounded like I had a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TMA)!. She said I should've gone to the hospital; of course, I didn't!.

Can anyone take an educated guess on what happened!? Was a stroke!? Adverse drug reaction!? Or something else!? Thanks!

Answers:
i think you need to see a neurologist and have s/he evaluate you!. the stuttering sounds like it could be Tourette's syndrome or some neurological mishap, but don't quote me on it, there are many other possibilities!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
