Question: How long does it take to break an addiction!?
To like porn!. For a 16 year old boy who's been addicted 3 years!. I know him and he really wants help, and really wants to stop!. How long would it take do you think, and what's the best way to help him!? He's reading a book "Every Young Man's Battle" and it's helping him but I think he needs a person, like his dad or pastor (our pastor is great, and his dad is our youth pastor)!. But he doesn't want ther help!. know it tkes like 21 or 28days tobreak a habit or whatever but what about an addiction!?
And please don't say it's not a problem or anything, it's normal!. He wants help and it is becoming a big problem, and he's trying to get stuff from his girlfriend from it, and she doesn't want to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Addiction can be broken in no time!. It all depends on the will power, strong determination and conviction!. Nothing else will help!. If one has a half hearted approach, then they cannot benefit by superficial desires to come out of addiction!.
There is no other way except strong will power, bull dog determination and conviction!. They should know the consequences of addiction!. One is the best judge of one's own suffering/illness!. Well first off he needs the "want" to quit, when the want is established than the risks can be discussed, such has the transgression from God's commandments, and diminished testosterone levels!. Then you must encourage a strong relationship with God, to repent for his sinning, to ask God for strength!. Then you provide emotional support, it works the same was as if a person was addicted to drugs, cigarettes, or even food!.

u always have to fight an addition every day some days are ezier then others but you are always in recovery i started cutting 10 years ago and i still have day were i still fight to stay strong enough not to do it like a drug addict or alcoholic he is going to mostlikely need a drs help but he needs to get all that out of the house and to go to any places he can get it even the internet Www@Answer-Health@Com

He should get rid of any way of porn, like internet!.!.!.magazines etc!. I don't mean get rid of the internet but if hes *willing* to stop the habit he'll learn not to go to the sites!. He has a gf!.!.he should be not paying attention to porn and he should know better!. When hes tempted to do the porn !.!.!.hmm, he could go do something else to take his mind off it completely!.!.!.that way he wont get a connection!. Like he might think its a good idea for him to play with himself, or have sex, for example, but not a good idea!.!.!.!.!.or he'll become addicted to that and it'll remind him of that old habit!?
