How can you make yourself not cry?!


Question: How can you make yourself not cry!?
i'm dealing with some sucky stuff right now!.!.i need to stay strong!.
i've heard pinching the skin between you thumb and your finger works!.!.!. but it doesn't!. anything else!?

Force yourself to smile!.!.!.anytime I do this, I am immediately uplifted!.
Look at pictures or videos of babies-America's Funniest Home Videos works too!. In studies they say they lift people's moods!. Puppies have the same effect!.
Go for a run/fast walk!. This releases endorphins which make you feel good! It also helps to get your mind off of what is bothering you!.
Everytime you think of something sad, say STOP out loud!. You can also try keeping a rubber band around your wrist and snapping it at the same time!. It trains you not to think negatively over time!.

I also tell myself every day, I am strong, in control and secure until I believe it!. However, crying is a good thing sometimes!. If you let the negative emotions build up they can become detrimental to your health!. Have you ever heard the phrase "he died of a broken heart"!?

While you are going through your situation and talking about it, thinking about it, etc!., try seeing your problem in a different light!. Try seeing the positive in it and see it from an objective point of view!. Look at it from your future point of view!. Will this still be so bad 10 or 20 years from now!? You can also look at it as every obstacle is an opportunity to grow!.

cry cry and cry more if need be!. You are an emotional person who like you said has had a sucky time!. Dont be afraid to cry this is the bodies natural way of dealing with emotional turmoil!. I used to cry all the time especially when it felt like the world was stacked against me but when I learned to allow myself to feel and to cry it out i did start feeling better and once you cry it out you will no longer have to cry over that certain situation again it shows you how to deal!. I know that it really feels that the tears will never stop but they will and eventually you will again see yourself smile and actually mean itWww@Answer-Health@Com

In addition to thinking positive, what I normally do is take a long walk outside and looking forward!. After 3 hours of walking I feel better!.

By the way, why are you trying to prevent it!? I even think its better to let it all out, especially towards someone close to you, crying much should make you stop after!. That's leaving things natural!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree, think positive!. Keep something in your mind which always cheers you up!. When you feel things are getting to you, bring this thought back into your mind and concentrate on it for a few minutes!. Detach yourself from the matter which is upsetting you!. Take deep breaths and some time out to gather your thoughts!.

Find someone to talk to about all this stuff!. The more you are able to talk about it, the less need you will find to cry all the time!. It may take a while but it will get better!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

When you feel you're about to cry, breath in very deeply through your nose!. You're eyes, nose and throat are connected!. This will help to dry your eyes out!.
