Question about antidepressants...please help.?!

Question: Question about antidepressants!.!.!.please help!.!?
I've been reading up on antidepressants a little bit lately, and I have some questions: Do antidepressants work only as long as you take them!? I know they aren't a cure for depression, but do they have longer-lasting effects!? Are they highly addictive, or can your body build up an immunity to them!? If so, and if they work only as long as you keep taking them, doesn't that make them kind of pointless in the long run!?
Any advice would be great, and sources are good!.
Please help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Anti-depressants only work if you keep taking them and only when you first take them they will start to work after about 2 or 3 weeks of taking them!.
They are not addictive not that i know of anyway!.
and it is pointless taking them if you stop taking them when your not meant to but you can only stop taking them if your doctor says its ok to!.
and its just the doctors and any mental health professionals cheap way of sorting depression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They don't continue to work after you stop taking them!. But you may not be depressed forever, you may just be going through this temporarily!. If you feel like you don't need them, talk to the dr!. and try not taking them!. If you noticed your starting to feel down again, start taking them again!. You won't build an immunity to them!. Some can be addictive, some not!. You may have to try a few before finding the one that works best for you!. Talk to a dr!. about your symptoms & they can suggest what will work best, if it doesn't work tell the dr!. & you can try some thing else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
