30mg Adderall (generic) to start?!

Question: 30mg Adderall (generic) to start!?
My psychiatrist prescribed me 30mg of generic Adderall to start off with!. I have never taken it or any other medication for ADD/ADHD before, and when I took one pill I REALLY felt the effects, Is that too much to start off with!? Should I take half pill!? When it finally started to wear off I got an awful headache!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I take both the regular and extended release!. If I take the blue alone in the morning, I get headaches after it wears off!. I dont get them with the extended release!. Ask your dr about those!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is your ADD ruining your life or can you get some cognitive behavioral therapy to help!. There are all kinds and need to be treated differently!. I was diagnosed with ADD a year ago and my doctor immediately gave me a prescription for Adderall!. I took it for 2 weeks and decided I did not like how it made me feel, able to concentrate for longer periods of time, but down at the same time!. I am naturally bubbly and I just didn't like it, so i quite!. Yes , I still have some of the ADD stuff, but I am learning to work with it and adjust some behaviors!.

You have to decide what is best for you, but I really don't like medication unless there is no other alternative!. Good luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com

Call your doctor they may want to start you out at a lower dose!. It is good to keep in communication with your psychiatrist about your medication side effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
