Answers:
you need to think this through!. Pick a friend who wont be negative about this and with support you!. Do you know of anyone who has self harmed before you can talk to!? Thats what I did!.

Are you cutting!? Try different methods of harming yourself that dont leave a mark like putting a hairband or elastic band around your wrist and pinging it, or crushing ice in your hands!. Doing this will help you to eventually stop!.

If you feel there is really no one to talk to, then write a diary or poems and songs to express your feelings!. When you get the urge to self harm keep yourself busy and every time you go a week without self harming award yourself with something you enjoy!. Feel free to email me!.

Talk to your parents, they will help you!. If not see the doctor!. And in any case, hit the library, read some books about your problems and educate your self!.

Life is to short and whatever is troubling you will pass!. Low self esteem and maybe feeling that no one cares about you or feeling that you are under pressure constantly will lead to self mutilation!.

In most cases all those feelings have Little to do with reality!. It is all in your head believe me!. Do not take your self to seriously, you are just another person with problems!. Do not expect from others to help you, they can not if they do not know what is the problem and you probably are not talking!.

Best and most dedicated parent is not able to read child's mind, and most are struggling to hard to get food on table and simply do not have strength to monitor so closely!.

Your parents may not be perfect, they may yell at you and tell you harsh things from time to time, but they love you and they are just humans like you!.

Please take care of yourself and see the doctor!.!.!.!.!.life is to short!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, first pick a close friend that you feel will be supportive!.
Make sure you have some basic information about the problem, maybe print out from webmd or something, the basics of self injury/harm!.
Then take your friend aside, just the two of you, somewhere where you will be comfortable to talk, and they will be able to listen!.
Be prepared, hearing your friend tell you that they intentionally cause harm to themselves can be extremely upsetting to the person you are telling, they may react badly at first, don't let this upset you, because imagine they're telling you the same thing, you're first feelings of shock, then fear, then guilt etc!. Let them soak up the info they may even need a day or two to really consider what's going on in your life before they can discuss it openly with you!.
Don't go for shock value, saying- I cut myself on purpose and breakin out with your very newest or worst injury, could be very risky as it would more likely than not put your friend in a very awkward position!. Just try to deal with them, with the same respect as you want from them!.

Good luck, I know how tough this is, and I've done it before myself!. And have gotten both kinds of reaction, from absolutely horrified to extremely supportive!. just don't let their feelings about your problem make the problem worse!.

Most friends are there for the good times, and wouldn't know what to say!. Friendships can be ruined this way: maybe your friends are exceptional, but I'd go with those who are trained properly in this!.

View the suggestions on what to do about self harming, in section 16, at http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris and contact them, when you feel the need to self harm/cut!. There is much information, and useful weblinks on my website: far too much to include here, which is why I needed to create it!. Seek therapy, to help you address the actual cause of those problems, rather than using an inappropriate method of treating the symptoms, which others have found, doesn't work, in the longer term, and that leaves behind the extra problem of scarring to deal with, then!.

I self harm myself too!. I'm seeing a counsler for this as well as some other issues!. You are eventually going to have to see a doctor because friends and family don't know what to do!. You know that they'll just encourage you to see a psychologist anyways, right!? Or they are going to say "Stop it" and can you!? Probably not, am I right again!? There is nothing wrong with seeking out professional help!. You know how many celebrities see shrinks!? If they can do it, so can we! You can talk to a friend about it but they may tell your parents or someone out of fear!. It also depends on how badly your "self harming"!. Are you cutting!? If so, it can be dangerous especially if you go close to your wrists!. You know that you could cut too deep and end up bleeding to death, right!? PLEASE GET HELP!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Which friend will understand and not go blabbing to all and sundry!. Although this is not something to be ashamed of I suspect you will not want everyone to know!.

You are probably self harming because of something horrible in your life which you need to talk about and get in to perspective!.

Good luck to you in your lifeWww@Answer-Health@Com

Go to: http://chat!.healthyplace!.com/
it's an excellent chatroom for mental illness etc, everyone there is so nice and supporting & it helps a lot to vent!. There is even a room on there specifically for self injury support which I suppose is what you need, and there is a support group session in that room at 10PM on thursday (I think that's 10PM American time) where sufferers gather to talk and support each other!. There are usually more people on there late at night!.

It depends on your friends!. Mine are fantastic, but I only have one that I can talk to about my self harm, and that's because she went through something similar!. If you know any friends who used to self harm or have experienced mental health issues (current could be difficult for them as well as you) then they'd be your best bet I think!. If not, online websites and/or forums can be a great support base!. Most people there are in the same boat

tell someone who you feel you can really trust; who isnt going to go behind your back and tell the world, that can be a parent, friend etc!.

just say that you need to speak to them in private sometime soon and sit them down and say what is bothering and explain to them!.

hope everything works out xxxWww@Answer-Health@Com
