If a depressed attempted suicide patient was highrisk?!
Question: If a depressed attempted suicide patient was highrisk!?
Would staff leave him alone in a room or make him sit with other patients!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
they normally make you sit in the day room (or with other patients)!. They also decide to have you checked (by staff) more often then other (non-suicidal) patients!. When I was in the hospital they had me sit in the dayroom against my will!. They also had me on the list to be checked every 10 minutes!.!.!.so it seemed like every 5 mins someone would come looking for me to make sure I was safe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if someone is in hospital they are allowed to have privacy, usually!. all items that could be harmful with be taken away!. but if the patient just wanted to lie on their bed on their own then that is ok!. if a person was unable to be left alone, then it would be a member of staff that they would have to be with, not just other patients!.
an nhs hospital seems less likely to supervise individual patients on a one-to-one basis than private hospitals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The staff would not leave him alone!.They would keep a close eye on all his actions
They would have two to four people watching him,and the group!.
It happened to me!.
Hope this helped!.
Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wud say put them with other people not necesarilly patients because if there alone all the hurts just go threw your mind and ya have to deal with it yourself, there will be people talking to them all the time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It is probably a very bad idea to leave a patient like that alone!Www@Answer-Health@Com
