Strange Hallucination Help?!

Question: Strange Hallucination Help!?
I had a very strange hallucination this morning and I'd like to see if anybody has any insight as to what type of dream-state function it is!.

I awoke early this morning at approximately 9 AM after a late night, finally hitting the sheets at about 4 AM!. I gazed out my window, pleasantly surprised to see that my darling girlfriend had arrived and was moving across my front lawn to knock on my door!. I greeted her with a smile and we crept into my living room to watch the Olympic Soccer match (Argentina V!. The Netherlands) At the conclusion of the game, we moved up the stairs and into my bedroom to take a nap!. This is where my hallucination occurred!. My girlfriend fell asleep next to me with her head on my chest!. I suddenly fell into sleep paralysis!. I am familiar with this state and so I submitted to it!. I stared at my door when a shadow crept over my left eye!. A tall figure, completely black to the point where I could make out no facial features drew himself before me!. We watched each other earnestly for a few seconds!. This anxious pause ended when he lifted his left arm!. In his grasp was a black dagger!. At this point I fought the sleep paralysis, jerking violently to no avail!. He plunged his dagger towards me and at that instant I wrestled myself from the paralysis and awoke!.

This phenomenon was very strange!. Does anybody have any insight as to what could have caused this terrifying hallucination!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are three states and/or layers to the body-mind (or psycho-physical structure)!. The first is the gross (or physical), which is simply your physical body, nothing more!. This is also known as the "food body"!.

The second is the subtle (or psychic), associated with mind and dreaming!. This is your dream-mind, this is what is activated when you sleep!.

The third is the causal, which goes deeper than both the gross and the subtle, it is the "root" of both, so to speak, though one is not to confuse the causal as some kind of "source", no, because the causal itself is given rise to from the Source-Point of all manifested existence, but it is the "root" in the context of the body-mind!. You often experience this dimension of the psycho-physical structure in very deep sleep!.

What happens during sleep paralysis is somewhat of a paradox!. The waking-state is associated with the gross-physical!. The dream-state is the subtle-psychic!. Lucid dreaming is a mixture of both of these states, it is to become self-aware of the fact that you are in the dream-state, thereby activating waking-consciousness to what is dreaming-consciousness, at which point you are slipping in and out of both, sort of waking up, but falling back into dream-mind as well, so you are lingering amidst both of them!. This is a very strange state, as you can, but tell just from the description!.

Sleep paralysis is another form of this state!. It is mostly the dream-state, which is mind-dominated, and therefore psychic in nature!. Anything mind-dominated (or psychic) usually involves visions, sounds, colors, and other types of expressions and movement of mind!. That is why it is the dreaming-mind!. In sleep paralysis you are in this state but have a strange awareness of the body, which indicates that you are moving back and forth from waking and dreaming-consciousness!. They are even apparently over-lapping, so to speak!.

This can lead to your false presumption that you are in the waking-state, when you are in fact still in the dream-state, just with open eyes!. That is why your body doesn't seem to move!. It's not "activated" yet!. You aren't in the gross physical, you aren't in waking-state mind yet!. You are just Lucid in the dream-state!. That is why you experience sleep paralysis, in which the body cannot move, and one in this state often experiences strange visions as well, simply because that is the nature of the dream-state; it is a visionary state!.

If you want more insight into the nature of your visions then you should look to your subconscious, as that is what the dream-mind is an expression of!. Your visions are one way of tracing back to the content and unraveling of what is being tucked away in your subconscious, and soon to be imprinted in your unconscious patterning!. wow, that's really scary! I used to have hallucinations when I fell asleep on my back!. The same sleep paralysis would occur, like you described, and then I would have a terrifying nightmare!. Like hands emerging out of my pillow to strangle me, or sinking into a soft recliner like quicksand until I could't breathe anymore!. I NEVER sleep on my back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is intense broseph, no words!.

The closest I had to that was a figure but instead of black they were clear and just distorted every image behind them, but they left before they could reach me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There has been some work on these shadowy figures but it does have something to do with being half-asleep when people see them!. They arent real so dont worry about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you may get many answers, but your experience is not that far removed from many many others

You said that you are familiar with the sleep paralysis already!. This is another related phenomenon called hypnogogic hallucinations and frequently co-occur with sleep paralysis!. Although it may have been disturbing, it is basically a dream state superimposed on your waking state temporarily!. It shouldn't turn into a big problem, but if it does, you can see a sleep specialist who can give you medication for when it acts up!. It probably occurred because your sleep pattern was interrupted!.

Hypnagogic hallucination: A vivid dreamlike hallucination that occurs as one is falling asleep!. The opposite of an hypnopompic hallucination which is a vivid dreamlike hallucination that occurs as one is waking up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It seems like you were just haviing a bad dream, if you woke up!. It's common to have a dream and wake up right before you would die in the dream!.

There might be something behind it though!. Who knows!? Maybe it symbolizes something in your life!. You can look it up in a dream dictionary or the dream interpertations section!. Hopefully it wasn't an evil spirit visiting you in your dream!.!.!. Eep! I hope not! Maybe find an exorcist!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
