I'm have really bad anxiety about hanging out with some old friends tomorrow!


Question: I'm have really bad anxiety about hanging out with some old friends tomorrow!?
Some old friends from middle school want to hang out at a local park tomorrow at noon!. I have anxiety disorder and no one else knows except for my close family!. I really don't feel like going but I don't know what to say to them!. It's almost 12:30am and I have to send a message to one of my friends soon!. What should I do!? I really need some answers ASAP!

Simply put, don't!.

Just say something came out!. I know you don't want to seem flaky but you really don't want to put yourself in a high-anxiety situation if you know you they bring up a lot of those feelings!. Without knowing it, they could be feeding you some of your anxieties unconsciously!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well seeing how you do have an anxiety disorder I would really suggest forcing yourself to go!. You do not want to have anxiety forever and the only way to overcome it is by getting comfortable with doing things that make you uncomfortable! and unfortunatley it means forcing yourself to do the things you don't want to do!. I personally think it will be easier for you since no one really knows about your disorder!. It will help people treat you as a normal person rather then for the disorder you have, and that will help you be able to take your mind off of it rather then having people constantly remind you by asking how you are feeling or if everything is ok!. You really should think of why this would be really fun, dusorder set aside, and then go and remember these things when you go and when your anxiety gets high bring up old memories that make you laugh to ease your mind! you will be fine and I am sure you will be so proud of yourself when you get home and realize that you actually did it! good luck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

The more you face the things that make you anxious, the less you will be anxious about!. The only fear is fear itself!. Just go, you'll probably have fun and it will make you happy to see old friends, therefore boosting your happiness, therefore creating less of an anxious state in your mind!.
